Description
Deliciously tender and juicy air fryer steaks topped with flavorful herb butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (rib-eye, strip steak or T-bone, 1 inch thick)
- kosher salt and pepper
- 2 Tablespoons salted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Remove steaks from fridge 20-30 minutes before cooking, to bring them to room temperature. Season steaks on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Make herb butter by combining the ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- Air Fry: Grease the air fryer basket or pan with non-stick cooking spray, and add steaks. (Cook steaks one at a time if they fit too closely together). Cook for 4 minutes, then flip, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for best results: 130-135 degrees F for medium rare, 135-140 for medium.
- Rest: Remove steaks to a plate and cover with foil to rest for 5-10 minutes. Add a spoonful of herb butter on top of each warm steak, before serving.
Notes
- If cooking multiple steaks, ensure they have enough space for even cooking.
- Experiment with different herbs for the butter for varied flavors.
