Description

These delicious chocolate strawberry cupcakes are perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing gently.
  6. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cool completely, then top with strawberry frosting and dip in melted chocolate.
