Description

A delightful cranberry cream cheese spread that’s perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen (thawed cranberries)
  • 3 green onions (chopped, green parts separated from whites)
  • 1 small jalapeno (seeded and membrane removed)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave nectar (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • to taste flaky sea salt (such as Maldon® (optional))
  • as needed crackers or pita chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine cranberries, green onion whites, jalapeño, lime juice, cilantro, honey, and salt. Pulse until finely chopped and mixed.
  2. Place the cranberry mixture in a fine mesh strainer over a bowl to drain excess liquid.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream with an electric mixer until fluffy and smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on a serving platter.
  5. Top with the strained cranberry mixture, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and garnish with green onion greens.
  6. Drizzle additional honey if desired and serve with crackers or pita chips.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or agave nectar based on your preference.
