A simple and flavorful lemon garlic pasta recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
- 3 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
- 4 cloves garlic (sliced or minced)
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- 0 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 0 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 0 tsp black pepper (freshly cracked)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water and drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add red pepper flakes if using.
- Add pasta, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Toss well.
- Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Remove from heat, toss with parsley, and serve.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes and seasonings according to taste.
- Pair with grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
