Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour (gluten-free option available)
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ to ¾ cup pesto
  • ¾ pound pasta

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour for about two minutes.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  4. Stir in the pesto until well combined.
  5. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Mix in the creamy pesto sauce until evenly coated and serve hot.
